Have a yowl with Where The Wild Things Are

Based on Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s story about one boy’s imaginative adventures with a pack of ‘Wild Things’, the movie has already topped the US box office and is looking to create the same excitement when it opens here in the UK on 11th December thanks to the Wild Rumpus.

This promises plenty of yowlers letting rip at customised Wild Thing yowling booths at shopping centres around the UK. Already these booths, decorated like huge tree stumps, have been popping up in the north and are now coming down south. Find one at Cabuts Circus in Bristol today and one in Westfield, London from the 4th to the 6th December.

At these booths, your yowls will be collected, or, if you prefer to yowl in the privacy of your own home or simply can’t make it to one of the booths, film your yowl and then post it on YouTube here to share with the world. And it certainly pays to enter into the yowling spirit, as the best of the bunch will win amazing prizes, including games consoles. They’ll be rated on a number of criteria, from longest in one breath to the cutest, from silliest costume to funniest.

So, if you fancy letting off some steam or picking up some cool prizes, let it out with a yowl. But be warned – yowling can be addictive. We haven’t stopped yowling here at Boxwish HQ for hours and could do with some throat lozenges!
