Biography: Emily Young is engaged to Sam Uley, the wolf pack leader imprinting upon her when he was dating her second cousin, Leah Clearwater. He since broke off his relationship with Leah and now lives happily with Emily in a quiet, rural corner of La Push. She is aware that Sam and his friends are shape-shifters and has nasty scars running down her face and arm after Sam transformed one time when standing close to her. Despite the scars, she is described as having been beautiful and is warm and friendly, with a strong maternal streak that sees her care deeply for the wolf pack. She is also the aunt of Claire.
