Top ten best dressed movie vampires

If there’s one thing to be learned from literary sensation-cum-box office smash Twilight it’s that vampires look good. Certainly the Stephenie Meyer story has other messages, of love against the odds and the power of choice, but it’s the irresistible lure of vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and his family that first introduces high school student Bella (Kristen Stewart) into the dangerous underworld of bloodsuckers, wolves and buried legends.
Given a spin in the Hollywood dream machine, the attractiveness of the Cullens is fully realised, with every member of this unconventional clan of bloodsuckers contributing to the sense of style. And they’re all so individual, from Edward’s classical elegance to brother Emmett’s (Kellan Lutz) sporty chic, from Alice’s (Ashley Greene) boho vintage feel to that of sister Rosalie (Nikki Reed) in her more sophisticated modern look.
However, Twilight isn’t alone in boasting well-dressed vampires. Unlike their horror counterparts such as zombies, ghosts, mummies and monsters, vampires have long been treated to stunning ensembles, whether designed for modern or period settings. Looking too good to refuse is part of a vampire’s arsenal and as such movies have happily maintained the myth with some of Tinseltown’s most lusted after leading lights donning fangs to play vampires. And so to celebrate this long established trend, we’re running down ten of the best dressed vampires from cinema’s past. Sink your teeth into this!
