Live the Movie – The Bucket List

Possibly the most fitting film to be included in our series of ‘Live the Movie’ articles is this 2007 comedy drama – The Bucket List. The film stars Jack Nicholson as grumpy billionaire Edward Cole and Morgan Freeman as blue-collar family man Carter Chambers, as an unlikely pair that find themselves sharing a hospital room, both diagnosed with terminal cancer and eager to live life to the full. To this end, they create “the bucket list”, so named after “the list of all the things we wanted to do in our lives before we kick the bucket.” With Cole’s money, the duo embarks on a series of adventures, ranging from those small-scale intimate pleasures to grandiose thrills.
