Live the movie - I Love You, Man

It can be hard to make new friends. Like romantic relationships, true platonic perfection is a rare and cherished thing that can’t be artificially constructed – but that doesn’t stop Peter Klaven (Paul Rudd) having a go in raucous new buddy comedy I Love You, Man. Peter has always placed more importance on girlfriends than mates and so when he proposes to girlfriend Zooey (Rashida Jones) and realises that he doesn’t have anyone to be his best man for the occasion, he decides to set about acquiring a close male chum.
On this quirky quest, Peter looks for guidance from his brother Robbie (Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samberg) who encourages his clueless sibling to embark on a series of “man dates”. These “man dates”, which Robbie explains as “casual lunch or after work drinks” are fraught with social minefields and see the sedate real estate agent attempt all sort of things outside of his comfort zone all to secure that one meaningful friendship that may or may not take the form of laidback rebel Sydney (Forgetting Sarah Marshall’s Jason Segel).
And we’ve taken five of these hilarious hijinks as inspiration for our “Live the Movie” series, as we invite you to indulge some friendly bonding I Love You, Man style.
