Live the movie – Hot Fuzz

It’s one of those movies you can watch over and over again and never get bored of. 2007’s Brit comedy from the team that brought us the “zom/rom/com”, Shaun of the Dead, is an affectionate tribute to Hollywood police action blockbusters set in a sleepy west country town. With a whole host of respected actors such as Oscar-winner Jim Broadbent and former 007 Timothy Dalton queuing up to star in it, Hot Fuzz manages to tickle a truly English funny bone while appealing to an international audience. The plot – that of a neighbourhood watch group so determined to preserve their town’s wholesome image that they kill anyone who threatens it – isn’t one to be emulated (unless your town really IS something special), but there are many other ways you can celebrate the movie and be inspired by it.
