Strangers chattering away during a cinema screening you’ve been desperately looking forward to – rubbish. The movie’s cast and crew providing commentary over the film – cool. It’s funny how we’re happy to hear certain people jabber away while the movie plays depending on who they are and whether they have anything important to say. Now imagine how incredible it would be to share a screening with a genuine Hollywood insider, someone who actually contributed towards the movie onscreen. Yup, this can be yours thanks to McDonalds who are offering one lucky person (plus chum) the chance to scoff a Big Mac lunch and then catch a screening of Avatar with its Oscar-winning producer, Jon Landau.

The grand prize also includes flights to Los Angeles and two nights at a hotel, to be taken some time between 10th January and 31st March 2010. But even if you don’t come up trumps for the big one, there are also smaller prizes, called the Big Mac Avatar Daily Prize Pack, to be won everyday until 17th December (when Avatar opens). These might be less showbiz and glitzy, but are great for those with empty bellies as they consist of two large Big Mac meals, two McDonalds Avatar promotional items and two cinema tickets to see the sci-fi flick.

So, how do you enter? Well, step this way folks as it couldn’t be easier. Simply visit the Avatar Code Breaker Countdown website (see link below) and decode the word scrambles they post there everyday. If you’re one of the first ten people to solve these riddles and write-up your answers on the sweepstakes page, you’ll get the Big Mac Avatar Daily Prize Pack. All those that enter (and get the answers right) will automatically be entered into the grand prize and the winner will be picked at random.
