And the goodies keep on coming. It was just last week that we sank our fangs into The Twilight Saga: New Moon – The Official Illustrated Movie Companion book (still haven’t got yours? Order it here) and now we’re being treated to another epic merchandise item from the Stephenie Meyer follow-up – the soundtrack. It’s been a subject of conversation for so long, with speculations on what artists would feature, what ‘sound’ it would strive for, whether the film franchise’s breakout star, Robert Pattinson would contribute again, etc., etc., etc. And now we know.

The line-up was confirmed, the track listing revealed and the debate began. Is Death Cab for Cutie’s single “Meet Me on the Equinox” as strong as Twilight’s “Decode” by Paramore? Are Muse The Twilight Saga’s “house band” after having contributed to both soundtracks and what do we make of the more adult, sombre tone replacing the up-tempo rock?
