The Twilight Saga: New Moon chocolates hit US Blockbusters stores

Earlier this year we feasted on Sweethearts sweets with a Twilight twist – slogans inspired by the supernatural saga. Bearing messages such as “Bite Me”, these little boxes of candies were a special snack for fans of the Bella (Kristen Stewart)/ Edward (Robert Pattinson) romance and we featured them as our merchandise swag of the week. And now months later, as we rev up for the never-more-so-hyped follow-up, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, we’ve got more foodie goodies – chocolates. Hungry for more? Us too…

Manufactured by NECCO (New England Confectionary Company), the same folk that created the Sweethearts, they’re sold under the sweetie company’s Skybar brand. The cocoa confections are officially called “Heart’s Desire” and are described on the wrapping as consisting of a “crème filled chocolate heart”. Sounds good to us!

The packaging comes in three variations, each one featuring the profile of one of the movie’s central trio of characters – Bella, Edward and Jacob (Taylor Lautner), though the snack inside remains the same – two hearts, one with “Bella” written on it, the other bearing the Cullen crest and name both stacked on a Skybar base.

Like their candy predecessors, they’re currently being sold at Blockbusters for $0.79 each and have yet to turn up elsewhere. Though keep your eyes peeled for them online as the sweets did make it onto Amazon.com and if you spot the chocolate bar there or on another shopping site, do let us know and we’ll Spot them here at Boxwish.
