It’s been nothing but stylish scraps for months, as we’ve poured over on-set snaps of the girls from Sex and the City 2. But now, as well as the much maligned teaser poster, we’ve got the first trailer! Obviously, it being the first official look at 2010’s most fashion fabulous film, it’s only brief, but in its 80 seconds it certainly packs in enough to well and truly whet the whistle.

We’ve got our four Manhattan heroines, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), Samantha (Kim Cattrall) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and a few flashing glimpses of Mr Big (Chris Noth), but the primary focus is surely the clothes, as styled, as always by SATC guru, Patricia Field. And they don’t disappoint.

The trailer opens with Carrie in the same white ensemble from the poster (Halston Heritage white dress, Christian Louboutin Pigalle shoes in gold, the Solange Azagury-Partridge Random necklace and Mykita & Bernhard Willhelm Franz sunglasses) and there are a few exciting new flourishes (a J’adore Dior tee worn with purple taffeta skirt and a turban! A turban, we repeat!)

And while the first film saw the foursome trek off to New Mexico (in actuality, they stayed in the US – see our features on the movie’s locations here), this time they’re off to Morocco.
