Cinema release inspirations including Drag Me to Hell
Posted by Team Boxwish 10 months ago
Morning and welcome to what looks like a promising summer weekend Boxwishers. The sun is shining, the sky is blue and I suspect there’ll be one or two barbeques up and down the country (don’t you just love the smell of burnt food in the afternoon?) and it could prove a timely distraction for movie lovers as this week’s a bit quiet on the cinema front. There are a number of new releases from beat ‘em up action in 12 Rounds to horror in Drag Me To Hell through to psychological thrills in Obsessed, but there’s just nothing epic in that summer blockbuster mould until Terminator Salvation next Wednesday. But if you burn in the sun, love it when WWE wrestlers have a stab at acting or aren’t one for blockbusters, this could be the week for you…
If you see… Spider-Man director Sam Raimi go back to his horror roots with Drag Me To Hell, a supernatural chiller in which a young woman is cursed and her life made a living hell.
Why Not Treat yourself to some classic Raimi horror with The Evil Dead Trilogy. Send someone you know a Drag Me To Hell Facebook curse or learn how to break curses with John Eckhardt’s Identifying and Breaking Curses.
If you see… WWE Superstar John Cena (The Marine) star as a detective whose girlfriend has been kidnapped forcing him to complete a dozen dangerous challenges to win back her freedom in action flick 12 Rounds.
Why Not Check out our rundown of 12 movies with 12 in the title. Catch-up with Cena in his day job with a look at his wrestling career in John Cena: My Life or rate his musical skills with his 2005 debut rap album You Can’t See Me.
If you see… Obsessed, a thriller in which RocknRolla’s Idris Elba finds his happy marriage to Beyoncé Knowles threatened by a stalker co-worker played by Heroes’ Ali Larter.
Why Not Take the test to “determine the style and severity of your infatuation” at the official website here. Have a marathon of “villain from hell” stalker flicks including Fatal Attraction, Single White Female and The Hand That Rocks The Cradle or download the soundtrack song attracting plenty of buzz, ”Smash Into You” by Beyoncé herself.
