Bid on some horror movie goodies at the Fangoria Halloween auction
Posted by Team Boxwish 5 months ago
Looking to give your Halloween shindig that extra edge? Well, call off the hunt as Premiere Props, in association with Fangoria Entertainment, is hosting an auction of horror movie goodies, allowing you to get your mitts on all number of props and wardrobe items certain to scare the bejesus out of your party guests. And what a choice there is to be, over 500 lots in all from Freddy Krueger’s blade glove from A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child (as worn onscreen by Robert Englund) to Michael Myers’s burnt mask from Halloween: Resurrection. Yes, this is the sharp (and often bloodied) end of horror movie memorabilia, all set to kick off this Saturday, 24th October.
The auction, or to give it its proper title, the Live Fangoria Entertainment Halloween Auction, will be held at Premiere Props’ warehouse at 128 Sierra Street, El Segundo, California, though if you cannot make it there in person, bids can be made online at iCollector.com (link below). However, it promises to be a sight as the warehouse will be decorated to match the occasion with bloody limbs, spider webs, dead corpses and more littering the venue and attendees will even be welcomed by Michael Myers – such old school chivalry.
The event begins at 11am, and to properly size up what you want, there is to be two hours of previews from 9am. So what has taken our eye here at Team Boxwish? Well, we quite fancy the black impaled person silhouette from Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Emily Rose’s nightdress from The Exorcism of Emily Rose and the numerous Halloween II costumes.
Dan Levin, vice president of marketing for Premiere Props is suitably excited at the scary prospect. “Right in time for Halloween, this auction gives collectors the chance to get some of the most iconic horror props and costumes to showcase in their collection,” he says. “From decorations to the bloodiest of costumes, this auction will send chills down any collectors’ spine.”
And if you fancy having such chills, check out the online catalogue and log your bid here.
