Here she falls for the mysterious Edward Cullen, who it turns out is a vampire and strikes up a close friendship with former childhood chum, Jacob who is also a werewolf. Bella is clumsy and uncoordinated, hates dressing up in girlie clothes and is the ultimate girl next door.
